Students who have studied at another approved university-level institution may request to transfer credits to Megatrend University according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.
To be considered for transfer credit at MIUV the student must submit an official university transcript to the Academic Dean’s Office at the time of enrolment. The Academic Dean’s Office will make a preliminary recommendation to the Megatrend Evaluation Committee who will make a final decision.
Upon decision, the Dean’s Office will prepare an official document for the student’s file and the indication of transfer credit will be placed on the student’s degree plan.
The Dean’s Office and/or Megatrend Evaluation Committee may request additional information from the institution where transfer credit is desired, such as course descriptions, a catalogue, or syllabi.
Transcripts from all secondary schools and institutions of higher learning are to be submitted at the time of application to MIUV. Credit from institutions of higher learning will be evaluated by the Megatrend Evaluation Committee for possible transfer to IU. Transcripts will not be accepted after the application process is completed. Transfer credit may only be confirmed on the basis of an original transcript - not a copy. Transcripts in languages other than English or German must be officially translated.
Transferring students may use the standard application forms, but checking the box for transferring credits.
For studies with Megatrend University Belgrade and its Vienna campus, the Megatrend International University of Vienna, transfer credits will be certified in accordance to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
Megatrend University is not allowed to issue certificates for transfer credit points of former “The International University, Montgomery, USA – Vienna Campus” (IU) which has been closed by the Commercial Court of Vienna and does not exist anymore.
