Giles Pope
Recent Publications: Co-author and editor of a History of the Americas, Book 1, a text for the International Baccalaureate History programme, forthcoming, June 2011; Contributor to The Twentieth Century, a textbook for the International Baccalaureate History program, published 2009 by Oxford University Press.

Professionally-related community activities: 2008 - Founder and chairperson of ‘Friends of Waluka,’ an Austrian registered charity for the support of Waluka Primary School, Kenya. Since 2008, Dr. Pope has been leading a fund-raising drive, assisted by students of The International University, to finance a borehole in Waluka Primary School to supply the children with clean drinking water. Over 16,000 Euros has been raised and building will go ahead in the course of 2011.
